LAB² is an innovation and networking event at Ghent University where industry and academia come together to explore new opportunities for collaboration.
The programme covers a broad range of expertise, including advanced imaging technologies, novel material development, state of the art chemical applications, tailored microbiological solutions, the blue economy, and many other research domains with industrial relevance.
As part of the event, we will host a keynote session and chair the round table discussion “EMBRC: Innovation Inspired by the Ocean.” During this round table, we will showcase how access to high-quality marine biological resources, advanced technologies, and specialized training can accelerate innovation in the blue bioeconomy. Through examples from environmental monitoring, biotechnology, sustainable aquaculture, and marine resource management, we will highlight the value of marine biological resources and explore opportunities for collaboration between academia, industry, and other stakeholders.
