EOSC-Life: Providing an open collaborative space for digital biology in Europe

EOSC-Life brings together the 13 life science research infrastructures (LS RIs) to create an open collaborative space for digital biology. It is a joint response to the challenge of analysing and reusing the prodigious amounts of data produced by life sciences.

The goal of the EOSC-Life project is to make sure that life scientists can find, access and integrate life-science data for analysis and reuse in academic and industrial research. In other words, the project strives to make data ‘FAIR’ (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) across Europe.

In this way, EOSC-Life will transform European life sciences by providing an open, continent-scale, collaborative and interdisciplinary environment for data science, based on FAIR data.

In addition, EOSC-Life will enable researchers to combine resources from multiple RIs for new research funded through open calls. Researchers can also receive support through the variety of additional services the project offers, including alignment with relevant standards and policies (GDPR, etc).

By integrating diverse stakeholders and employing transdisciplinary research, it aims to foster resilient and sustainable agroecological systems across Europe. Through living labs, data ecosystems, and community building, AgroServ strives to empower farmers and researchers alike, ensuring impactful insights for evidence-based policymaking and long-term sustainability.

Research infrastructure services for sustainable aquaculture, fisheries and the blue economy

AQUASERV provides researchers access to top European infrastructures, advancing studies in fisheries, aquaculture, and sustainability, while supporting key EU policies like the Green Deal and Farm to Fork.

Atlantic ECOsystems assessment, forecasting & sustainability

The EU-funded AtlantECO project aims to develop and apply a novel, unifying framework that provides knowledge-based resources for a better understanding and management of the Atlantic Ocean and its ecosystem services. Focus areas include: microbiomes, plastic and the plastisphere, and seascape connectivity.
