WHAT DOES EMBRC OFFERS?
40 EMBRC partners across 8 countries offer supplementary services to enhance AQUAEXCEL3.0's aquaculture offerings, focusing on marine biological and ecological research. These services encompass:
- Access to marine ecosystems
via research vessels and organism collection - Marine biological resources
from culture collections, biobanks, and taxonomy services - Experimental facilities
including aquaria, tanks, mesocosms, and laboratories - Technological platforms
for molecular biology, imaging, and structural and chemical analysis.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Scientists who need access to EMBRC's state-of-the-art marine biology facilities and services (such as molecular biology and -omics, imaging, bioassays) to boost their aquaculture research, or extend its reach.

WHO'S AQUAEXCEL3.0?
AQUAEXCEL3.0 aims to enhance the EU aquaculture sector by offering extensive support to research teams. It provides top-notch services, resources, and facilities, along with free training courses, to keep scientists updated and aligned with industry demands.
While its primary focus is on fish, it also includes research on shellfish and macroalgae. Through collaboration with the EU aquaculture industry, the project aims to highlight the benefits of research infrastructures and advance the EATiP Strategic Research agenda.
